Hello,

I have a few questions regarding the bank statement to prove the 500k THB, although I scrolled the group posts by searching, I couldn't find something similar to my situation (apologized if my questions were actually already answered):

1. I'm a French citizen, with Permanent Residency in Taiwan. I have worked in Taiwan for 6 years, so I can show my salary slip until June 2024.

2. I recently started a new job. It's a consultant contract, with a Singaporean company, starting from July 2024 to December 2024. Same here I can show my contract and my invoices for July+August payment.

3. The thing is, I made few big operations with my Taiwanese bank account so currently my Taiwanese account doesn't have 500k THB.

4. However, in France we have a family shared account, (I have the power of attorney for this account but it's not under my name, my parents'), where we do have more than 500k THB.

Questions:

1. Would you advise to transfer money from the family account to my own personal account? Or a statement proving that I have the power of attorney would be enough?

2. If I do need to transfer on an account under my name: Is transferring to my French bank account would do, or is it better to transfer directly to my Taiwanese account, which I used daily for the past 6 years (I received all my salary on this account)?

3. I understand that each embassy/office have different rules regarding the period we have those 500k THB in the account.

Let's say I do the necessary transfers next week, would you recommend Taipei or Vientiane? I have family in both cities so its convenient for me to stay there few days, hence those two options..

Thank you in advance for your answers!

Hello!

Can someone recommend a place to get an official translation from bank statements and company registration from German into English?

My German Bank and the official place for company registrations cannot help me with that.

I also looked at the Homepage from the German Consulalte but they don't offer this service.

I will apply outside from Germany in a few weeks.

Thanks for your help!

Address on bank statement.

Anyone have any experience at embassies with their bank statements showing different home address'?

My business bank statement, personal bills, invoices, tax returns etc are detailing one address. But my personal bank statement is detailing my older address [its a property i own and have mortgage papers to prove but now my document database is getting pretty hefty]

the name is same on all statements of course

Hi, the information I have seen so far is that Malaysia is more strict and cannot even use electronic statements. It must be a physical seal. I heard that Cambodia will wait for more than a week? Would the embassy in Hanoi be better? Six months of statements are necessary, right? Proof of deposit is not enough. Thanks

Just got my DTV from Hanoi offices. The ladies were super cool, helped us pull everything together.

I gave 7 months of bank statements and invoices, plus the below.

I definitely suggest drafting a letter that explains all the documents provided, and I got both of the companies I freelance for to put together a short contract and had letters from both companies stating my role and how long I had been with each company

No appointment necessary at this point, we just walked in

DTV success in Vientiane! I applied Sept 11 as a freelancer and picked up on Sept 13. This is what I included in my application (I threw everything I had at it):

FOR THE FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT:

* Bank statements from the past year of 2 accounts adding to the required 500K (neither account has the full amount). Unfortunately my statements are only produced each quarter so I submitted screenshots of the current balance showing the most recent date (3 days before I submitted). At the counter, they asked me to write a short note explaining the discontinuity in the statements, which I did.

FOR MY PORTFOLIO AS A FREELANCE WRITER:

* My CV

* 6 Short "confirmation" letters from a sample of clients stating that I provide ongoing work from them since (date). Letters signed/logo and dated.

* Samples of invoices & pay slips/transfers to Wise over the past year.

* Screenshots of my LI & business FB page showing recent reviews.

* Screenshot of Fiverr profile showing recent reviews and earnings page.

ADDITIONAL:

* Application (obvs)

* Title deed (I own a condo so made sense to include that)

* Photocopies of every page in my passport, including the one showing entry to Laos.

I got there early on my appointment day. I had a number that put me in the 11:30-12 slot but I was out of there by 10am (first come first served). On pick up day, I got there at 12 and was first in line for the 13:30 open time. I was out by 13:31 :)

I was super stressed because my work has been thin and irregular for the past several months. Thankfully, I had enough history to show. So, it doesn't seem like consistent, regular income is required.

Also, I had a still-valid for 6 months education visa and was unsure if they would deny the DTV application on that basis. I got a re-entry stamp before I left just in case my application was rejected then I could still ride out the last months of my current visa. No problems. All good.

For the ones who applied in Vientiane, do the bank statements needs to be in English or Thai?

Thanks

Has anyone used a crypto wallet instead of bank statements for a visa app? Specifically the DTV one. Curious if it’s possible to do that… any info appreciated 🙏

I just got DTV in Hanoi, Vietnam today.

- applied on the last Wednesday.

- applied as a remote job employee for Myanmar company

- required documents are as described in their website plus your official stay permit in Vietnam: entry visa stamp to Vietnam and hotel booking confirmation should be okay for that.

- they mainly checked my supporting financial data and bank statement. It's better to prepare your salary pay slips if your bank transactions are not much enough. They wanted see many transactions in your bank statement.

- they will notify your application result and passport pick up date by email. So make sure email address you fill in visa application form is correct.

Good luck everyone

Ho Chi Minh City DTV Success! I work remotely for a multinational company.

(1) Made an appointment on August 21 for September 5 @ 1:50 at Royal Thai Embassy in HCMC.

(2) Arrived in HCMC and withdrew $8,500,000 VND from local bank on arrival. Made sure to keep bills crisp (no bends, tears, or folds).

(3) Went to Ha Tam Jewelry near Ben Thanh market and waited in line. [Watch your pockets!] Exchanged $8.5M VND to ~$345 USD. Asked for envelope to keep bills crisp (no bends, tears, or folds).

(4) Arrived at Royal Thai embassy at 1:30PM. Entrance is gate around the corner from GPS location. Waited in line, guard was checking all appointments and was very strict about who would enter (ex: your appointment could not be for later in the day).

Submitted the following:

(a) Completed Visa Application with picture glued: [members only]

(b) 2 offer of employment letters from my company

(c) screenshots of my company's work from home policy and screenshots of my remote work status

(d) 6 months worth of paystubs

(e) 6 months worth of bank statements that meet DTV requirements.

(f) proof of current stay in Ho Chi Minh (printouts of my airbnb reservation)

(g) $340 USD - they rejected one of my $10 bills due to a tear. Luckily I had a backup bill that they accepted. Moral of the story: inspect your bills and make sure they are crisp!

Application was submitted on a Thursday 1:30 and was given a ticket to return Monday at 1:30. Picked up my passport with new DTV within 2 working days.

Thanks to this group for all the advice/stories! Made this process super painless as I had all the documentation ready to go. Off to Thailand this week!!
