Hi, I have a DTV but haven't been to Thailand since March 2025. I'm thinking of spending a few months there soon and wondering if I can just show my DTV or do I need show current bank statements etc?

Applying for my wife as a dependent. What are any additional things you guys have included to ensure the visa is approved first time round. I’m the main DTV holder. Thanks so much

Hi all

Just an update on a dtv app as the info on these forums was very helpful. It is annoying people don’t use the search function almost every question has been asked and answered!

Submitted DTV to London on 18th November

Workcation

App form

Letter from work saying I could work remotely

Portfolio of what I do and cv

Bank statement (was only current transactions) showing 500,000 bht (equivalent) going in the week before.

Cover letter

Company registration

4 days later request for further info

Bank statement showing full name and address (current transactions not ok)

Pay slips

Bank acc showing monthly income for 3 months

I then sent one account showing the 500,000 bht and a second account showing my wages in plus other money coming in.

Also my pay slips showing a healthy wage

I requested interim statements so all bank statements had my name and address

Approved yesterday

In short I wasn’t asked for flights accommodation or for the money to be seasoned.

I do think if you show you can support yourself and will be spending money that is half the battle.

Good luck all

Does *proof of funds* need to be a checking/savings (cash) account, or will they accept a brokerage account? Do funds need to be seasoned?

Most of my emergency fund is in $SWVXX.

Trying to figure out if I need to move cash into checking and eat the lost interest, or if brokerage statements are acceptable.

Hello, I have just applied in Hanoi. When immigration responds asking for additional documents, I am wondering how much time I have to upload them? Obviously, the quicker the better, but I will explain my situation further.

I'm asking specifically about the 3 months of bank statements. Currently, I am only able to show one month with the 500,000 THB requirement. However, if I wait two more days I will be able to get another month of bank statement with the 500,000 THB requirement on December 10th.

I'm assuming if I can show 2/3 months with the 500,000 requirement, it would be better than showing 1/3 months.

Thanks for the help 🙏 love this page

Edit: Yes 15,000 THB was a typo. I meant 500,000 THB (approx. $15,000)

Some weeks ago I read on this group about banks not issuing bank statements or current balance statements unless the funds had been in deposit for four months or more. This caused concern because some extensions of stay require only 60 days of funds in deposit (maybe others 90). But is this 4 month bank requirement still on? Or has this gone away?

Question about the DTV (Digital / Soft Power Visa)

I live in Thailand and use Revolut for all spending.

My income lands in a Portuguese bank, then I transfer what I need to Revolut.

I just sent 500,000 THB to the Portuguese account.

Should I move it to Revolut, leave it in Portugal, or show both accounts when applying for DTV?

Do they care more about income source or spending history in Thailand?

If anyone already applied and knows what they look at, I’d appreciate the info.

Probably an obvious answer I am missing to my question, but when you submit the DTV application for a workcation, do they want the full itemized bank statements or just the first page that shows the beginning and ending balances for the past three months? I’m also planning to include my pay stubs since my employer just approved me to work from anywhere as long as they don’t have to sponsor a visa for countries where they have offices.
