Ok I did exactly the same leaving Christmas day 2024 (so very recent experience).......At the airport handed passport over and after initial scan stamped out and directed to table behind the exit immigration guys......lady wrote in passport "no issue no fine 1 days grace" (in Thai)...will happily upload passport page if anyone wants to see it........There is no fine however if you go overstay into a 2nd day the one day grace is lost and you pay overstay on both days.......one proviso dont get picked up by the Police (for something stupid) prior to arriving at the airport as techincally you're on overstay for those hours

Joakim Schönbeck Cretin.....there has always been a landing fee at Thai bank end where the monies have come via wire transfer......Wise gets around it by settling monies locally from within Thailand hence no landing fee

Jeff Hoffmeister Why give spurious information......yes over certain limits funds need to be declared out of home country but should you be somewhat unlucky and get a sniffer money dog on you the money can be detained "pending further information" not "seized" because its drug money lol
