 not the Thai bank converts it to BAHT when it arrives but the exchange rate you get is much better.

Send it over as GBP. You get a slightly better exchange rate. Never send in Baht

If you have left the country and come back in you will have no problem applying for the elite visa on just three days overstay.

I only know that number 8 is usually something done for marriage extension. Never heard of it for retirement. If you are registered with a TM30 at that office you shouldn't have a problem. 5.3 is also incorrect if applying for an extension of stay.
