@Tod ********
- that's the screen but would not allow me to input a later date than the expiry one of my extension. For example I tried 31st March 2024 and would not take this entry .

- must be me or the Immigration Office I am with, Chiang Mai , lol ! I'll ask when I go there for my interview this week anyway. To be honest the staff there are quite helpful.

@Tod ********
- i could not input a date beyond my extension expiry date, which is next month. So can I assume that when I get my next 12 month extension that the date in October 2024 can be inputted but as I wont know until November ( my extension is based on marriage so notification is not immediate ) there will be a void ? Is this OK ? Will Immigration ask where I was when I complete my next 90 day report ?

- did you contact CM Immigration within 24 hours of arrival ?

@Ellie ******
- 24 hours from the time you enter Thailand. So for example if you stay in a hotel in BKK before going onto CM , that hotel should be the first update on the TM30 and then next day you fly to CM , 24 hours after you land. But as I said, CM Immigration whilst wanting a completed updated TM30 are not strict about the 24 hour period. I know this from my own experience.

CM definitely do ( I have lived in CM since 2010 ) and have done for a long time if you are returning from a trip to another country . Should update the TM30 within 24 hours of re- entry but I have found officers at CM Immigration quite flexible if you are a couple of days late .

@Adam *******
- you wont receive a new visa extension stamp until 30 days after your last one expires and you will have to go to the IO that day to get your stamp- should be 30th January. When you apply on or about the 16th November the stamp you will get is for " Under consideration " and will be up to 30th January. Your RP will be stamped into your passport with this same date. Important you get the extension stamp first and the apply for the RP.

- similar circumstances arose with myself in 2019 , I dealt with Chiang Mai IO. I applied for the marriage visa extension together with the RP . Sorry if I didn't make this clear previously for Adam Sharpe. I believe other IO's adopt the same approach too if the circumstances are made clear to them at the time .

Adam Sharpe, as there is a 30 day under consideration period with your type of visa extension , then you need to apply for a re- entry permit at the same time you go to your IO to request the extension. The RP will be dated until 30 days after your current visa extension period expires when you explain your circumstances to Immigration. So the RP. So that should be 30th January 2023. You arrive back after that date and the RP is invalid.
