Fizul Bacchus she will never get a tourist visa, it’s almost impossible, especially if you’re engaged. If she tries, she has to supply her bank info and if you’ve ever transferred her money, they will see it and it will be denied.

The best advise is to do the finance visa, wait the time and do it the right way. If she tries to get a tourist visa, is denied which she will be, and then tries the finance visa, it’s going to raise flags and may take longer than would have taken. They may believe something fishy is happening.

Daniel Torrez I had a friend that has been denied twice. Master’s degree, works for govt 19 years, owns land and house here, all family here. First she did by herself. Second time she hired immigration attorney, same result. Even had me, I retired in Thailand, and my sister who lives in the U.S. write letters for her, I had to send my rental agreement here, my tax returns the last 3 years etc. They never even looked at the package they never looked at the package they put together. Didn’t look at the letters, tax returns, etc. She’s 48, not a younger woman, and had a letter from the government stating she worked there and they were giving her time off to visit the U.S. and expected back to work on a certain date. Never looked at any of it.

Jennifer Soriano I live here. It’s a scam. The only visas available are on the official Thai government site. Anywhere else, don’t believe it.

It’s something some developers are trying but as of right now, it does not exist and buying into it could cost you a lot of money and headaches.

funny, CW told me the opposite. Leave the country, had to file tm30. Travel in Thailand, no issues. My girlfriend works for the government in the building and was with me when I asked. She also asked in Thai so they were sure of what I was asking. Just depends upon which office and what person you ask. When I travel, inside Thailand, I don’t file. But before I do my 90 day, if I have traveled anywhere, I always do a new one just in case.

I was told the same when I lived in Asoke in BKK. But I’ve seen others say they were told they had to regardless. Best to ask your office what they require or just file one every time you travel.

by law, yes. But it differs by province. I live in Udon Thani and asked at Immigration when I first moved here in February. They told me as long as I travel inside Thailand and return to my rented house, I did not need to file a new TM30. However, if I traveled outside Thailand, yes, I needed to file a new one.

yes I understand that. But, I was told just 3 weeks ago at UD Immigration to go from monthly to banked I would also need to have the 800,000 in now and continue the monthly, and next year, at my extension, I could switch to the 800,000 as long as my 800,000 was banked after this extension for 3 months and didnt fall below the 400,000 and then topped off at 800,000 two months prior.
