With Bangkok bank freezing bank accounts for lodgement and withdrawals at the moment till accounts can be verified in original branch. This will also stop funds being transferred for seasoning so could affect future visa applications. As not everyone is in Thailand at the moment and may not be possible to me make it in time.
We've been hearing a lot of rejected attempts in Hanoi over the past few weeks, both from soft power and workcation. But are there lucky people out there who got it successfully in the past month or so and how long did it take? Share with the rest of us your experience and give us some hope. haha.
Hi. I’m applying for DTV via soft power Route in London. My bank I use and have my savings in is Revolut. Will I be able to use this as my financial proof? I recall seeing somewhere that revolut isn’t allowed in some countries
Looking at getting a DTV and returning to Thailand, but I keep hearing immigration is getting stricter.
Currently in Vietnam, Swedish citizen, programmer, have the required finances.
Just left a startup, now between jobs (own a consultancy company, but no invoices for the past year). Multiple visa runs, tourist extensions, one-day overstay. Last entry immigration told me I won’t get in again without a DTV.
Should I expect issues with my background? Anything I should prep for?
So a family applying for the DTV visa if both parents work remotly and married is it better to get two main DVT and a child dependent or one DVT with a spouse and child dependent visas. Do all applicants need access to the 500,000 THB in both cases or would we just need 500,000 THB between the three of us making it better to apply for the latter.
Could having a very long 1.5 year (no overstays) tourist visa/visa exempt/border run history actually work in someone's favour when applying for DTV. Given you would have already proven your ability to provide for yourself and that you respect the law by never overstaying?
And how strongly does an application moving to "pending approval" indicate success?
