I’ve said it before and I will say it again, USA immigration automatically assumes every Thai lady is a prostitute , it’s down to you and the lady in question to supply work history and a letter from her employer that confirms her position within a company and that she will return, if you can’t supply work history it’s the default position, Prostitute.

And with you there, that is a strong reason for her to stay in US. Use an agency. Most of the staff at foreign embassies and consulates are Thai so an agency knows how to deal with them.

That has always been the case. My friend married a Thai, and because she went to Myanmar for vacation, her B2 has been turned down twice.

We live in Thailand, I’m Swedish, my wife Thai and our son both.

My wife used a company to do the visa, as I understood that they also have a travel agency and provide the correct documents, or as I saw it a manual for how to do the visa. It’s was allot of pages and documents to provide but after she been at embassy aso she told me. They didn’t ask all that, it’s was easy to do.

We were turned down yesterday. Both Seniors, retired and self employed. Very nice support US Embassy Bangkok

The US assumes she is going to overstay and not return. She has to provide solid reasons to prove she won't.

I spoke to 3 different visa attorneys and everyone of them told me without these 2 things (job & property) her B1 or B2 visa was 99% certain of being denied. The only realistic option is a K1 marriage or fiance visa. These visas approval are based more on your finances and ability to take responsibility for the visa applicant. But the processing time on those is 10 - 14 months.

Keep current with what matters in my life. You obviously havent except surprised now. Guess what. It is really bad in the USA. Colorado too. Deal with it and accept the fact your gf is staying in the safer country of Thailand. Btw most that immigrate get bored with the food cold culture and either divorce or want to return.

Yes, my fiancé, now wife, got it on her second try. I know a thai woman married to an American who was denied 8 times...she was a farm girl, my wife 8s a professional with a master's degree...they pick and choose...it's like filling out a resume for a job

It’s not easy. Very difficult for a single female from Thailand to be approved. My wife, at the time fiancé, was denied twice in the span of one year. The interviewers did not even look at her supporting documents. By the 3rd try we were already married, interviewer looked over all her supporting paperwork, still denied, told her to apply for a green card, which we didn’t want or need. She applied, one year later she was approved. Made our visit, waited on green card and SS card to arrive, then returned the green card and applied for the 10yr visa. Have been in and out of the US several times since. Time for another 10yr, hopefully all goes well.

Back when I applied, have got mine without any issues. The applicant’s credibility is what the determination of approval or denial. I was in my mid 20’s then, solid family background including financial status. Being so young with two young children and family obligations the staff knows I would not risk not to returned .

I have Thai friends who HAD family members living there some for decades. They’ve mostly left and are back in Thailand where they feel safe.

YOU cannot get anyone a tourist visa to the US. Only THAT PERSON can get their own visa to the US. You have no part of it. Nothing you can say or do or show will change that. They must qualify themselves, based on their own merits, and their own situation. You being a part of that does not affect the application, and may actually hurt it.
