You have been in Thailand half the year with two back to back visa exemptions and extensions. This is why you were denied as they think you are trying to live in Thailand without a long term visa. Apparently that is no longer being permitted. Follow Todd's advice and maybe you will be good to go.

You should apply for a Non O visa at the Thai Embassy in your country. It should make it easier to get a Thai bank account that you will need in order to get the 1 year extension based on retirement.

 that is the issue I had. Didn't matter when I selected funds for Thailand as it was not coded as an international transfer.

 it's okay I already opened up a new account with Kasikorn. Going to drop Bangkok Bank after my next extension if I am still in Thailand.

 funds for long term stay in Thailand or whatever the exact wording on the drop down menu. The Wise transaction receipt shows that on the transfer but my Bangkok Bank Account records it as a transfer from another bank in Thailand. Don't remember the exact wording.

 that is exactly what I used " long term stay in Thailand". Like I said it changed several months ago.

 they were showing as International until about 3 months ago the started to show up as domestic transfer. Wise used Kasikorn as a partner bank.
