you have no idea what you are even typing about. Just type nonsense from keyboard.

A Non O is a visa as is a Non O-A as is a Multi entry Non O (recently removed and an Extension are all very different.

Specifics are important.

This forum is ridiculous as has no moderation to bar language and ignorance

not at all. Using terms such as "I have a Retirement Visa" etc etc makes providing advice on specific questions difficult guess work.

Actually having a valid Visa such as a Non O or Non O-A or being on extension is very different.

It's just you don't understand the need for specific advice

What speak the immigration officer used is irrelevant..

You do not have a Visa. You have a temporary permission of stay stamp (Permit)!

Change to based on marriage no issue as has been posted already.

Note that your 12 month extension will start from when you apply as you are changing the reason what the extension is based on.

No big deal however if existing renewal date is preferred then apply late..

Not eg 45 days prior.

100% obtain Non O (retirement) prior to entering Thailand.

This is done online using eVisa platform.

Henry, if you had two visa exempt entries and you state 2 extensions that would be 180 days.

You state went to Vietnam to obtain a SETV eVisa.

That would typically only take 5 days.

Seems like short stay out of Thailand.

Miracle you had smooth entry at BKK.

Ignore the io advice about METV

While that's an option would be very surprised if you had hassle free entries in 2026.

Suggest you look into "safe entry service" Agents or look at other option such as DTV

Are you over 50?
