Anyone do a transfer lately through WISE to Bangkok Bank. I looked at my bankbook at it was coded as a Cash Deposit. I pulled up the transaction on WISE and it clearly states Funds for Thailand. Is Bangkok Bank not coding FTT for foreign transactions anymore?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent discussions among users regarding WISE transfers to Bangkok Bank indicate a change in how these transactions are categorized. Many report that transfers that previously showed as 'International Transfer' are now coded as 'Cash Deposit' or similar. Users speculate that this change may relate to the involvement of local banks or processing methods that speed up transfers, suggesting that the money may first go through a central office before reaching local branches.
Your Wise transaction should should have used the selection "Funds for long stay in Thailand" or words to that effect in the drop down menu for the reason for the transfer
you need to look at the receipt issued by Wise to see where it went (transfer confirmation document) and look at the "Paid out from" section where it will show the partner bank used
Ask your bank where the transfer came from (it'll be another Thai bank). Go to that bank and request the foreign transfer advice notice. Immigration will accept that
Probably because it goes to head office in silom in bkk then onto your local branch.

I have noticed that transfers to Bangkok bank seem to be coming quicker, last 3 average about 15 minutes? It was the nexr day around 2pm... So obviously there's been a change in system that may have caused the issue?
just looked on Wise regarding this transaction Kasikorn is bank paid into Thailand then they forward onto Bkk bank. May print this off for future reference. Or just abandon Bkk bank use Kasikorn now on.
yes I also looked at the deposit on the Bangkok Bank app and that is what id says. That is strange. I switched over to the monthly deposit method during my last renewal so it will be interesting to see what happens next year.
Mines changed too, from International to Deposit Transfer

yes i always use wise and it shows like domestic transfer/deposit never shows as international, probably wise are using local service provider in Thailand, thats better tho, less questions from the bank
if you send money from abroad into your wise account, then transfer to a Thai bank account they pay it from their Thai bank account so it shows as internal transfer not international.
yes they cooperate with Thai banks as intermittent banks.

Sounds like your money passed through another bank in Thailand before finding its way to yours. You can find which bank by looking on your Wise Receipt. And then if you need to show international transfers you go to that other bank and ask them

I also noticed my transfer only took a few minutes to be deposited where it use to take a couple of days.
basically WISE just do internal transfers, from my knowledge the money in your home country never left the country, someone in Thailand just bank in the amount. I think it is call remittance bank.
I wouldn't say so but it looks like there's been a few instances recently, I don't do monthly transfers myself
