I’m Irish, Not an Australian, but I traveled there last Feb and was required to complete a digital application.

By the way, It made fuck all difference since it still took an hour queuing at passport control when the electronic machines were down for everyone 🫤

For folk arriving into the country.. each trip.

To be done only when less than 72 hours prior to your trip.

Same system as in many other countries such as Australia, USA, etc.

It’s a 3 minute job.

thank you so much. The inevitable question of a newbie on this topic…. If I flew to Singapore for a couple of days and back to Bangkok for that border bounce, is Suvarnabhumi the most trouble free point of re-entry?

It was in the last 5 years, but of course we had the infamous virus in that period which temporarily altered entry rules.

It’s seems the eVisa process has effectively automated and removed human intervention to a large extent. Anyway, life presents new challenges. Duck and dive is all we can do.
