Just received my 30 day (non-Covid) extension on my multiple entry 60 day tourist visa at Chaengwattana immigration centre, Bangkok. 2.5 hours queuing from 14.00 to 1700h. All done and back in the taxi at 1715h.. in time for rush hour. Sabaai sabaai.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post describes a successful experience of obtaining a 30-day extension on a multiple-entry 60-day tourist visa at the Chaengwattana immigration center in Bangkok, including details on the queuing time and process. A comment follows questioning the timing of the visit and whether an appointment was made prior.

Glad you got the regular 30 day extension (y) You're lucky they serve anyone who got a queue ticket before the 3:30 cut off when they stop giving them out 😉

Just curious; what possessed you to show up at 2PM?

AND

Did you make an appointment using the online appointment booking system or just show up and queue up?

Hi Tod, I was there at 2pm well before the 3.30pm cut off. Made sure I was inside the waiting area at 3.25pm. Could not attend in the morning

due to other business.

I did not make an appointment as per the advise of this forum. It wasn’t needed. Probably won’t use the extra days.. it was a precaution whilst I await a business visa into Australia (that process being well underway). I will be back to Thailand again after a few weeks in Australia for another 40-60 days.

PS: no TM30 form from the hotel needed.

worth a mention there were 61 people in the queue ahead of me when I got my ticket number. So quite an efficient service

NOt that I am unsympathetic but the other choice would have been to bounce out and back in to get a new 60 day entry stamp (seeing as you have a 6 month METV)

That would be far more costly and time intensive than just waiting at the immigration office for your 30 day extension for a couple three hours 🙂

Again, glad you got it
