Anonymous participant yep. There’s about 7 reasons immigration can deny you. One of them is not having means to live. The proof is a requirement to have 20k (actually on paper it’s 10k for single traveller) cash. I ran the tourist visa, visa runs, extensions gauntlet for many years, until it became ridiculous. I have a long term visa now. If you have a valid DTV and can back that up, based on the reasons you applied you won’t have an issue. Good luck 🤞
You can do it via mail ✉️ it counts as ‘in person’. I’ve done it a few times. Providing you send it at the right time there’s no issue. It’s never been rejected.
Anonymous participant In theory with the DTV you could stay for 5 years (with 9 border bounces) without worrying about taking the pi55. All for 10k. Doing visa exempts / extensions for same period would cost 38k.
Depends on how long you want to stay in Thailand. You method has the added anxiety that each trip they may refuse entry. If you have a life set up in thailand, a condo, belongings here, a motorbike say, being denied entry becomes unacceptable.
Anonymous participant you cannot stay in Thailand long term using visa exempts. The guy above who does it regularly will eventually be stopped and questioned, and told to get an appropriate visa.
