I’m an Irish male 67, with a non immigration O single entry (with “retired” remark) eVisa obtained from Thai London embassy (they also issue for citizens of the Republic of Ireland in recent years). Background; I have a long term Thai gf (>18 years together.. we are not married. I stay at her house in Korat).

A couple of questions relating to an upcoming trip in Nov:

1. Can I extend this visa at an internal immigration centre or do a border run with ease and return for 30 days as a tourist (no visa needed?) just prior to the evisa expiring?

2. Following that extension or return in Point 1, I need to go to Australia for a few weeks.

3. What are my options to return to Thailand again for another ca. 55-60 days before returning home to Ireland next April/May? E.g. Apply for another 90 days eVisa whilst in Australia (as if I was applying online from Ireland) OR enter again as a tourist (no visa needed?) for 30 days and extend it internally for another 30 days.

I guess I’m wondering are there any limits to the number of tourist entries and / or extensions one can get per entry in a single calendar year that could trip me up?

I would effectively be seeking to stay ~90 days, then ~ 30 days, and then on return from Australia another ~60 days before finally returning home to Ireland.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

**farangs can do Border-run unlimited times (not only twice a year)

Is this true? if this is true, then I can stay in Thailand as long as I want, as long as I take border-run?**

I am about to submit my paperwork from the USA and apply for a 60 day tourist visa. Does anyone have any recent experience with how long it takes to process? If it matters, I was going to use the Chicago Consulate.

Hi everyone 🙂

Am holding a Singapore passport and would like to ask if anyone knows how strict immigration is on visa exempts? I’ve stayed for almost 2 months in June to Aug, a week in March and 2 weeks in April and would like to head back to Bangkok at the end of the year (about 2 weeks, somewhere along Christmas and new years). I’m currently based in Singapore and won’t be doing any travelling to Thailand until then.

Are they most likely to stop me at immigration or should I get a SETV? Any advice would be helpful, this is my first time travelling a lot to Thailand 😅 haven’t done any border bounces at all and have been travelling by air to Suvarnabhumi airport only.

Thank you for all the help~

Morning all. Odd question here. I having been coming and going to Thailand for many years using my non immigrant O (married with kids in Thailand). My most recent visa has expired and I was going to renew it in the coming weeks as I wasn't due to travel back to Thailand until july ( I'm currently in Australia). My work situation here in oz has changed and now I can go to Thailand asap. Instead of waiting the week or so to get my new visa can I enter on another passport ( I'm dual citizen)? Just as a tourist as I will only be staying a few weeks. Or is that sketchy.

Thanks

Hi and a Happy New Year to you all.

I'm a Swedish national, currently stranded in Sweden.

I've held a Non-imm O Retirement visa for some time now.

I have to renew my passport as it expires soon. My visa will consequently be cancelled as it cannot be transferred to my new passport I was told by the Thai embassy in Sweden

Rather than applying for a new visa in Sweden, I'm thinking of returning home to Thailand as a tourist since there is currently no visa requirement for Swedish tourists.

Does anyone know if I after arriving in Thailand as a tourist without a visa, can apply for a new Non-imm O Retirement visa in Thailand without having to leave the country?

Just want some peace of mind. Arriving Bangkok next Wednesday night, 3 day stay as tourist. I'm Aussie. I have no visa (not required). Do I simply show immigration my onward flights and they stamp passport and let me through??
