Before applying, many people said Hong Kong was difficult to apply to, and even the cooking schools asked me to avoid it.
However, if you're a Hong Kong resident, don't hesitate to apply there. It will just take longer, about a month. There's no need to apply in other countries, as flights and hotels also cost money.
The visa fee for Hong Kong is 3,000 HKD.
Cooking school: 19,000 + B.
That's about 8,000 HKD for a 5-year visa.
Even with Soft Power, the application process in Hong Kong can still be slow. It took me about a month.
Thanks for all the help and advice I recently received, regarding the issues I was having with the Thai Evisa website. With only 2 days left of the 14 day window to complete and submit my documents. I have finally managed to upload my documents.
A heads up for anyone that has an issue with the site, and are asked to submit further documents. After clicking on the red icon to upload documents on my Macbook the link does open but it’s not in view. You need to click and hold the screen and scroll across to the link. As there is no scroll bar this is not obvious until it was pointed out to me.
Hope this will help others and thanks again for the help. Now fingers crossed it gets approved
Hello. Has anyone received a dtv visa with this school JK Thai Inter School (language and cooking)? They don't do refunds for the course if the visa application was rejected. It's weird. So I ask in the chat if they are reliable.
Here's a suggestion to some of you, a novelty I'm sure, something outside your comfort zone.
How about when asking people for advice and receiving the advice from total strangers who are more than willing to help another human being, try using "please" and "thank you" maybe even saying "hi I wonder if someone could help please".... even a 'like' for their comment and advice would be nice.
Manners and politeness cost nothing especially when people are willing to take time out of their day to help a fellow traveler.
Hello, I need help. I'm currently taking a bus from Bangkok to the Cambodian border to leave the country for a while and then go back straight away (DTV visa required every 180 days). Do I need a visa to Cambodia to cross the border? And will I be able to get one at the border?
Hi, I’m filling out the Digital Thailand Arrival Card (DTAC), but my passport only has a family name—no first name. The form won’t accept symbols like "-" and only allows letters. And filling in first name is compulsory. Has anyone dealt with this before or know what I should do? Any help is appreciated! Thank you.
