Well I just signed up for this group and a lot of things that I'm reading is a bunch of angry people that like to call people names I thought this was a site to help people out not to tell people how stupid they are and to file claims against them with the Thai government and all kinds of stuff is this site just about drama or is it about helping people getting information and giving information.

Small report: Just passed through Nong Khai Immigration (approx 19.00, taking the Vientiane - Nong Khai bus). I've lived in Thailand before, but this was my first visa-exempt border bounce. I spent 1 week in Luang Prabang before coming back. Upon arriving at the checkpoint, the first policeman sent me to Room 15 to speak to the supervisor. He asked me what I was planning to do and to see my ticket out (which I had thankfully bought in advance), but did not ask to see ฿20,000 or any confirmed hotel bookings. I hope this helps someone.

To @administration. you need to block Richard Parker, he is harassing me, and giving false Visa information. If you dont block him, I will report you to the Thai Immigration Bureau for allowing fake news on your VISA ADVICE page.

Just been to Bangkok Bank in Udon Thani and asked for a simple bank account. I had my passport and 90 day retirement visa and driving licence. I’m 56 and retired and in a relationship. My girlfriend rents a home nearby. I was told that I also need a TM30 stamped at immigration office and long term rental agreement. She also tried to sell me Insurance for 50k baht for 12 months, as she said it would help my application. This is just a post for information purposes but feel free to add comments that may help!

Hi, I have a DTV visa, however my passport is due to expire within 1 year. So, I was thinking of getting the passport renewed.

But I'm worried would it cause any problems as I haven't used the visa yet, or carrying the blank new passport with the old one suffice.

Hey folks. After some DTV advice.

I’m Australian but contine to travel and only head back to Aus around Christmas.

I’m currently in Laos for April.

I was hoping I could get DTV while here before returning in May. However I am being told I have to be back in Australia to do it. 🤬

Anyone have any thoughts, suggestions or alternative routes?
