Hey folks. After some DTV advice.

I’m Australian but contine to travel and only head back to Aus around Christmas. 

I’m currently in Laos for April. 

I was hoping I could get DTV while here before returning in May. However I am being told I have to be back in Australia to do it. 🤬

Anyone have any thoughts, suggestions or alternative routes?

When you apply you have to select the consulate that deals with your location (not your passport country). Laos is fine but be sure to select the appropriate consulate for your location. You have to attend in person to pay after submitting your application

You can apply in Laos. Vientiane or Savannakhet. They use a hybrid system where you apply through the evisa portal but go to the embassy/consulate to pay in person.
