Your passport, with the current visa-exempt entry stamp.
• A completed extension application form: TM.7 (Application for Extension of Temporary Stay).
• A recent passport-size photo (4 × 6 cm, colour) — generally taken within the last 6 months.
• A copy of your passport’s bio page, and a copy of the page showing your visa-exempt entry/stamp.
• If you received a paper arrival/departure card on arrival (historically called TM.6), bring a copy of it (or electronic arrival record if applicable).
• Proof of where you are staying in Thailand — e.g. hotel booking, rental agreement, or address of your accommodation. Some immigration offices may also request the TM.30 (or proof your accommodation has been reported).
• The extension fee of THB 1,900 (cash).
When to apply: Typically, you should submit your extension request about a week before your 60-day stay expires.
Good to know / Important caveats:
• The extension is not automatic — the extra 30 days are granted at the discretion of the immigration officer.
• Have photocopies of your passport and entry stamp page ready — many offices will ask for them.
• Some immigration offices will support on-site photocopy and photo services if you don’t have them ready.
I’m not sure if people know this put I’m putting it out there anyway. If you are travelling business class or above you go through the fast track lane also but if you are disabled and carry your blue badge, then you can also use the fast track immigration lane. And before anyone says that it’s on the picture, I always find that when you go to the ramp up to immigration they do not make this clear. The picture above is shown on departures and the IO just shepherd’s all non Thai into the other queues on arrival. It always helps to have your badge with you
Nor me but it doesn’t mean that they don’t or never will question you but the response I got from the FDA was that 30 days is the norm but not a strict regulation. As long as you have supporting documentation then all will be ok if you are ever stopped. It’s 90 days for controlled drugs on a permit.
I had the same problem with mine. As long as they are not on the restricted list and need a permit then you will be fine with a doctors letter and a copy of the prescription. I still went through nothing to declare also
The Immigration Bureau of Thailand has announced a temporary waiver of overstay fines for foreign tourists trapped by the flooding in eight southern provinces (including the province containing Hat Yai). This suggests that many travellers are unable to leave, likely because transport and crossing points are disrupted.
• Some “immigration offices affected by flooding” are reportedly being restored “as soon as possible” to resume services.
I’m sure that due to the circumstances they will be more lenient but it is Thailand and who knows what they will say. Good luck but get to immigration as soon as it reopens. If it is a 90 day report, you can do this online if it’s not your first one
