I'm in Nakhon Sawan and today went to immigration to check on requirements for the 90 day registration. I have read alot about requirements so a month early I wanted to check what they would ask for being a new process.

So I'm with my thai partner and they explained in thai and repeated in English that so long as my TM30 was registered (which it is) I need not do anything else.

Advised that after 180 days to either leave the country or extent, which I knew.

To extend she advised I would need to present the same proof of funds I obtained the visa with being the 50,000tb (or equivalent to what was requested upon application) mine being £11,000

All in all very simple and pleasing.

Hope this helps.

Sure other provinces are different in some way.

Enjoy

Hi guys,

What’s peoples thoughts on the DTV stopping applicants if there’s too many being processed?

Should I just do a visa run now and do DTV in 3 months or would you do one now. My visa expires 27th and a lot of public holidays etc and not a great time for us to travel with a baby for a long processing time.

Hi. Once your DTV visa is approved. Is there anything you should know or think about besides:

1. Don’t stay longer than 180 days without extending

2. Do 90 day reports

Thank you.

Hi everyone,

On December 13th, I submitted my documents to the Thai Embassy in Berlin. Today, I received feedback that only biometric photos from a photo studio are now accepted (which is no problem). They also requested an "explanation of how I work remotely in Thailand."

On Friday, I submitted the following documents: proof of residence in Germany, a freelance work contract, a certificate from my employer confirming that it is a remote position, and my German business registration.

What exactly should I explain now? That I only need internet and a laptop, that the time difference is not an issue, etc.?

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

So I have been living and working in Japan for around 15 years or so, but have never really needed to get my PR, so haven't gone down that route. I have a spouse visa though. Does anyone know if this is going to be good enough to apply for the DTV in Tokyo or is it strictly PR? Can anyone with experience please share their insights? I've read mixed reports, but mostly stating PR is a must. TIA!

Hey guys! My agency wants me to go to Cambodian border get an arrival visa so they can apply for my DTV should I stay in Cambodia ? They told me once I get the visa I can come back to Thailand the same day and just wait for my DTV and go out to activate it. Currently I’m in ED for my second year in a row. What would you recommend? Thanks

What’s the deal with flight and accommodation requirements for the DTV? Do I actually need a flight booked? I’m planning to fly to Thailand after Tết in Vietnam, but if I don’t get the DTV, there’s no reason to book a flight until it’s confirmed. Also, I’ve noticed some places asking for proof of accommodations in Thailand. How am I supposed to provide that if I’m not there yet and can’t rent a place? It feels like a chicken-and-egg situation. Any advice?

I’ll be applying in Ho Chi Minh.

Hi everyone,

I’m currently residing in Thailand with a DTV visa, and I have all the required documents in place, including proof of residence and a Thai bank account. I’m interested purchasing a car through leasing and would love to hear from anyone who has experience with the process.

Could anyone provide information on:

Which companies offer car leasing options for foreigners with a DTV visa?

What documents or requirements should I be prepared for?

Are there any tips or things to watch out for when leasing a car in Thailand?

What are the typical rates for leasing? Do the rates for foreigners with DTV visas differ, or are they the same as for Thai residents? Does it vary from bank to bank?

Thanks in advance for your help!
