What’s the deal with flight and accommodation requirements for the DTV? Do I actually need a flight booked? I’m planning to fly to Thailand after Tết in Vietnam, but if I don’t get the DTV, there’s no reason to book a flight until it’s confirmed. Also, I’ve noticed some places asking for proof of accommodations in Thailand. How am I supposed to provide that if I’m not there yet and can’t rent a place? It feels like a chicken-and-egg situation. Any advice?

I’ll be applying in Ho Chi Minh.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the DTV visa, there can be requirements for proof of a booked flight and accommodation. It's common to feel uncertain about these requirements, especially if you're applying from abroad and haven't made your travel arrangements. Some users suggest that you can provide a random flight number or details of your intended flight, as it's unlikely that authorities will verify it. Similarly, for accommodation, if you're not able to rent a place until you arrive in Thailand, you may face challenges in fulfilling this requirement. It's advisable to seek guidance on alternatives for demonstrating accommodation plans.

Just type in random flight number. Or the flight that you're suppose to take that's it. They won't ask
