I am an American and I'm currently applying for soft power dtv through the Washington embassy. Im on the "Document indicating current location". I'm currently staying with my mom while I'm here so I don't have any "documentation". Is going and getting a hotel the only way around this? Thanks in advance!

Hey I've already done some research online, but I just wanted to get some quick feedback. I've always done my visa extensions in Bkk and this will be my first time in Pattaya. I'm going to Chonburi immigration in the morning and I will need my passport, tm7(which I get there), passport photo, copies of passport pages, 1900 thb, and proof of res. With the proof of residence do they just want a picture of my Airbnb receipt as it goes for a few more weeks? Don't know if they are as easy as Bkk with that. Thanks for any info

My retirement visa is expiring on June 21st (Saturday).

I am flying back to Chiang Mai on June 18th. I will of course point at immigration first thing in the morning!

Is two days (Thursday 19th, and Friday 20th) long enough to renew the visa? I worry about hiccups/processing delays.

Is it ok if apply before visa expiration, and receive the visa extension after expiration?

London embassy just said my husband has to be a UK resident to apply for the DTV. Nowhere on the Thai evisa website does it say you have to apply from your country of residence. I've emailed them back saying this and that there is countless evidence of people applying with hotel bookings, and asking for more confirmation. Did anyone else get a response like this?

Thank you

I'm applying at the KL embassy, i picked medical which may have been wrong, but i've been undergoing PRP/stem cell treatments on my knees and shoulders with ample proof for the last 6 months.

Anyways, I believe I can get those figured out, however, other request documents such as... Other request documents ( Proof of prolonged residence in Thailand for at least 6 months, such as a condominium rental agreement, lease agreement etc. )

baffles me. I currently do not have a lease agreement signed, as it would be crazy to sign a long term lease without knowing that i've been approved for the visa. How do i deal with this?

We were told when applying for DTV visa to include utility bills for the last three months as proof of residence in our home country. Our problem is that we moved out of that home over 5 months ago when we started traveling. Anyone else get approved with utility bills older than 3 months? Any suggestions for new nomads?

I have a visa extension (spouse visa) coming up but will not have a valid rental contract as we'll be living in one of my relatives condo (who is a foreigner) for at least 6 months.

Is there anything that we can do to prove our residence without a rental contract?

Being based in Vientiane, I have several questions with regards to multiple entry tourist visa.

1) Tod Daniels has affirmed in a forum which I read that proof of residence in Laos wouid be okay with the stay permit and work permit. ( please confirm )

2) 200,000 baht has to shown. Can this be shown in a UK bank account to the equilvalent in thai baht? Let’s just say 40 is the rate.

3) How necessary is the hotel booking and mode of transport? I’ll be crossing at theNong khai bridge mainly for day trips and overnight trips. Please advise .

I’m planning to go to Ho Chi Minh next month and apply for the DTV Soft Power program.

1. My bank account has been open for 6 months, with an average balance of $16,000, though at some points, it had $12,000. If I have around $16,000 at the time of application, would that be sufficient?

2. What documents did you submit as proof that you are in Ho Chi Minh? Would an Airbnb reservation and entry certificate be enough?

Thanks, friends!
