I know banglamung hospital expect someone to stay with you if you’re in a private room, if there is nobody to stay with you then you have to be put in the public ward. At least that is the experience I had when a friend was there a few years ago.
if on a non o based on retirement you only need one way ticket back into Thailand on return. You still need Thai pass and atm test&go 1 night but that could be changing next month.
The online application for the e-visa is very straightforward and quick. If you have it beforehand no need to worry about visiting immigration whilst on holiday. I got mine issued within 3 days and that was over a weekend.
I did TP one afternoon and evisa next afternoon, one is not dependent on the other. Evisa done on Fri afternoon and received back Mon morning, so approval can be got over the weekend too.
