It's our first time back in Thailand for 3 years, spent couple of days in pattaya ,massive changes obviously due to covid.
Thinking of heading to Hua Hin next ,just wondering if anyone knows what it's like there at the moment .
Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
Visitors are returning to Hua Hin as life is mostly back to normal, especially on weekends with tourists from Bangkok. The beaches are relatively busy, with food vendors present. However, nightlife has diminished, with many bars and restaurants closed or operating at reduced hours, and a midnight curfew in effect. Compliance with mask-wearing is high in public spaces, leading to noticeable tourist identification.
I live in Hua Hin & life is pretty much bach to normal. Tourists begining to return & busy at weekends with visitors from Bangkok.
Some bars & restaurants have closed & will probably never reopen so there are changes. Ferry to Pattaya has gone & busses not quite as frequent. Bars generally close when you leave depending on the area but I've been in binta bar until 4am recently, just not so easy to get a taxi home.
You will find that wearing a mask is still required when on the street, in shops & taxis & 99% comply. Pretty obvious that you are a tourist if you don't & expect to get dirty looks from Thai & Farang alike.
thanks ,sounds good ,will definitely visit we like it there ๐

I was there less than 2 weeks ago. Depends on what you are going for. The beaches both at Chaam and Hua Hin were pretty busy, and there are people selling food and drinks on the beach. I rented a bike and rode about. The malls and such are ok. Not as full as usual, but most of the stores were open.
The night life however is almost non existant in Hua Hin from what I saw. I THINK there is a midnight curfew. Most "tourist" restaurants were closed before 10pm, and if you venture down to the bar areas, many are still closed.
