they'll say how long it could take.

They ask you about your travel plans, but don't require any evidence.

It is speculated that they ask about your travel plans, in order to potentially prioritise applications. I don't think anyone actually knows this for sure though.

LTR is pretty weird in my opinion.

For the remote worker category, you need a pretty decent income, but it's not that high.

The issue is that you need to be employed by a publicly listed company, or a company that has at least USD50 million revenue per year. That shuts out pretty much all small-medium business owners, or employees thereof.

make a short trip of it. Get the bus to and from Pattaya. Only about 130 baht each way from Ekamai and it's actually not that bad!

mine took 8 days. Nobody can quote an exact processing time. You're application goes in a queue.

Anonymous participant it seems that most 'western' embassies that are issuing e-visas have no requirement for months of balance or transaction history. The statement I submitted had only 2 days of transactions and it was fine (Australia).

Anonymous participant you can apply anywhere where you physically are, except Thailand. DTV cannot be applied for in Thailand.
