Application for soft power Thai boxing now rejected by the Paris embassy for the following reason:

"Your visa application has been rejected. personal information (full name including middle names and surnames, nationality, sex, date of birth, passport number or passport issued country) in the application does not match the information on the passport."

After some research, it seems that it's because I didn't put my middle name in ā€œmiddle nameā€.

I saw on some sites that it wasn't always the case for middle names, so I preferred not to put anything...

My question is whether anyone has been in the same situation and managed to regularize it afterwards.

I've just sent an e-mail to explain the situation, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to reapply and lose 350ā‚¬

Hello, I would like to inquire about applying for a DTV visa outside of Thailand, specifically in Ho Chi Minh City, Phnom Penh, Hanoi, or Jakarta. Could you please advise on which location is the most convenient and easiest for the application process? Additionally, Iā€™ve read that Cambodia may soon require prior appointments for visa applications. Could you kindly confirm when this will take effect? I am planning to travel on October 7th, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. šŸ˜Š

I applied my visa in Hanoi,Vietnam on 11 September, Wednesday. I didnā€™t get any email about require documents OR visa rejected OR visa approval. So, should I go there and ask whatā€™s wrong? Because today is 17th already and I really want to go other places so badly . I just want to know the update šŸ˜©

DTV success in Saigon/HMC! 3 of us (that we know of)!

This page was my pure source of useful info. Hope to ease anxiety and help others after my own experience.

At HMC they are, as already mentioned: very friendly and also have a sense of humour. I was laughed at one point - in a nice way.

To aid calm:

It is a shipping container dropped inside a side entrance/corner of the grounds. The Vietnamese guy in Thai uniform sat under a Red Bull umbrella - heā€™s your man and he will usher you to a plastic chair in front of the big green metal box. No, you donā€™t go inside the building! (Would have loved to have known this!)

We all had shoulders covered.

One guy went in sleeveless on collection and didnā€™t get stopped. But donā€™t be that guyā€¦

Paperwork:

I made sure to sign all pages in bottom left corner to avoid doing it there.

I included a covering letter which:

1. briefly explained my personal situation and why I have been in Thailand so long as a tourist.

2. Bullet points explaining the paperwork I included.

NB: my covering letter was accepted. Friend that did post-it notes on paperwork to explain - they were removed.

They paid big attention to bank account amount and write what it is in THB.

They go through your paperwork. Put it in the order they like and if happy, take your fee.

What I submitted:

All our situations are all different here.

They accepted me as an artist/painter with a YouTube channel (letter from powers above in UK proving I am an artist + examples of work + print out of YouTube page). I have a child in Thailand (with Ed visa) so showed that. And added a dental note for good measure.

The $340 fee - it does have to be perfect bills/notes.

(People were turned away for a wrinkle!)

Black and white photocopies accepted.

When you go collect your passport you are seen 1st so worth getting there for 1.30 opening time.

The relief is real and I wish everyone the best of luck.

Hi, has anyone gotten the DTV visa on the basis of the "soft power" options of seminars, courses or musical events? If so, could you let us know how you did it? Many thanks!

If not I would guess manilla ?

Has anyone actually done a 90 day visa recently ?

Another question where is the best neighbouring country to go get a 60 day + 30 day tourist visa for a British passport holder
