Changing to E-visa is one of the best thing we should all be happy about because if they is missing documents they don’t just reject you. They will tell you to submit them with an email. In person once you submit your documents and something is missing the chances of getting rejected where very high and you would lose the application fees . E-visa they will let you submit every document until approval , they can let you submit missing documents 4-5 times they don’t even mind until all documents are enough

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion highlights the advantages of the E-visa system, particularly its flexibility in document submission and reduced risk of losing application fees due to missing documents. However, some commenters argue that in-person submissions are stricter, often preventing applications from proceeding to payment if documentation is incomplete. There are varied experiences shared, including the perceived efficiency of E-visas versus the potential for rejection without discussion in some countries. Concerns about document upload limitations also emerge.

Good. I was concerned about the limited document upload. No tax return, no proof of business, etc.

for proof of business/employment, you generally need to compile all the 'evidence' into a single pdf. max file size is 3MB. That was slightly challenging...

100% correct, E-Visa is best, all embassies and consulates are going to E-Visa anyway, so we all have to get used to it

In Taipei it is just the opposite. the staff won't collect the fee until you are surely pre-approved.

In Germany they reject u flat out no discussion and pocket the visa fee - so don’t get to excited.

In my experience, e-visas are not bad, and are cost efficient, as you don't need to visit anywhere, but their progressing times takes ages.

Completely the other way around. In person they generally wouldn’t let you get to the payment stage if you hadn’t got everything right to start with.

With the evisa system once you’ve paid that’s it. Sure they may ask you for extra documentation but if you have mis-typed something like your first or last name or similar your application will be rejected and you will lose the application fee.
