Where do I indicate my location on the visa application if I'm traveling and not a resident?

I am really confused about the "location" part of the visa application. I am currently traveling for 6 months, so do I put the location of where I actually am at this moment? I am not a resident in my current location, the only thing I can supply is my airbnb receipt. I am applying via Evisa, not in person. Also is is true you should not apply any more than 3 months in advance? I don't see how this would be relevant because the visa is not activated until when you arrive in Thailand, corret? Thanks in advance for any help!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The applicant is seeking advice on how to fill out the 'location' section of the visa application while traveling for six months, as they are not a resident of their current location and can only provide an Airbnb receipt. They are applying for an e-visa and are confused about whether they should indicate their current location and the relevance of applying not more than three months in advance.

The visa duration starts ticking from the date it's approved/issued. Location is where you currently are to ensure you're using the correct embassy.

so if the visa is for 180 days and I don't enter until 120 days, this would still be OK, right? I mean sure I would only have 2 months left, but if that is not an issue for me then this should still be ok. The whole location thing does not make sense though, by the time they get my application I will be in a different location......

Anonymous participant To clarify on this, the 5 years starts upon approval. The individual 180 day stay starts upon entry, as you will get 180 days each time you enter, throughout the 5 years. So if you enter in 120 days, that's 120 days off the 5 years, not 120 days off your individual stay.

Anonymous participant - did you check to see if that embasy accepts tourist/travelers? Some of the embassies in Europe only take applications from residents.

Anonymous participant - check that embassy’s website to see what they say. For example the embassy in Warsaw says you have to be a resident of Poland or Ukraine. If you went ahead and applied vie evisa, they would reach out and ask for proof of residency. If you didn’t have it, you would then be rejected and lose your money

I am hesitant to pay 350 euro and be denied. I tick the boxes for everything else for the visa it is just this current location issue that is confusing, so many different answers flying around :/

Anonymous participant Using a hotel/airbnb receipt is normal evidence of location in a visa application. It is totally fine,

Anonymous participant well you either meet the requirements, apply and get the visa, or they ask for more documentation (while the visa is pending) OR they reject the application and you lose the fee

Anonymous participant then you will use the eVisa system by selecting your nationality AND that your current location is Italy. It will automatically pick the consulate in Rome to apply thru, you upload your visa/entry stamp to show you're legally allowed to be IN italy (if you have that) and as Andi said you use the booking of the location you're staying at there as your address

I don't have a stamp, my stamp was back in Spain when I first entered the EU. I guess I can be transparent and note this on a document when I apply, along with airbnb receipt, only way I can think to do it. What happens if they don't start processing the visa until I have left Italy, is that an issue? I am only here for another few days.
