What are the recommendations for opening a Thai bank account in Bangkok and what documents are needed?
Bank account opening - hi, can anyone recommend a reasonably priced agent to help me open a thai bank account in Bangkok? I've tried several banks without luck in my own. TIA

OP*UPDATE. I went to Bangkok Bank headquarters in Sala Daeng based on info from someone on this thread (thank you!). I have some useful info for those looking to also setup a bank account. I am able to set one up by providing the following printed documents: business formation info (for my overseas company / how i'm supporting myself while in BKK); Driving license (overseas); Passport; Signed 1 year condo lease contract and proof of address; Thai mobile number (permanent not temporary); printed DTV visa that was issued. It's a lot of information, which luckily I can provide, and Individual circumstances may vary. Advice would be to go early in the morning as I had to wait 1 hour to be seen. Also, someone else on this thread asked me to message them privately about agent info. They were asking for 17,000 THB! Siam Legal wanted 10,000 and are a credible company, so be aware of the price disparities if you do go the agent route. :-)

I also to open bank account today at Kbank Silon Branch and Bank of Ayutthaya . Both of them ask for work permit . I can’t get work permit with DTV visa😪. I don’t know what else to do to open bank account. Please share me if you know the reliable agent in bangkok.

Did you checked headquarter of Bangkok bank near bts saladaeng? I opened mine there. They will open.

make a short trip of it. Get the bus to and from Pattaya. Only about 130 baht each way from Ekamai and it's actually not that bad!Greg ********
