KL is the most difficult embassy to get a DTV. Easier to get from Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Manilla, You need to book 6 months accommodation in Thailand applying from KL..

You submit online and if asked to, attend an interview. KL requires 6mths of 500kTHB. You need to be physically in Malaysia and provide proof such as flight, hotel booking in Malaysia, copy of arrival stamp

Yes embassies have different rules. Some want to see an actual booking others just the date is fine. Ask them and check the threads if anyone else has applied there

Which embassy are you applying from? There are no minimum days unless you apply in Malaysia you need to book 6mths accommodation. I put down a stay of 80 days and round 2 week accommodation booking. Are they asking for a booking confirmation or just dates?

You need funds seasoned for 6mths for Malaysia plus 6 months accommodation booked In Thailand. Much easier embassies to apply from nearby.
