 You can find many posts by SPers not working. There are even retirees 60-75 who have the DTV doing Muay Thai, cooking or Medical option.

 You do not have to prove a remote job to get a Softpower DTV. You need to show you can support yourself, having savings beyond the 500k THB helps.

 If you are unemployed you can apply for the softpower option. If you are currently unemployed and due to start a new job soon then you can apply for the Workcation, it is not just for freelancers, anyone working remotely.

Someone just approved in HCM took 3 weeks. Wed 10 dec was national holiday, so processing starts the 11th.
