Hi, wanted to share my experience applying for a Destination Thailand Visa, DTV online at the Munich Thai Consulate. The visa got appreoved today.

I applyed early September. Besides the normal documents I uploaded a copy of my Gewerbeanmeldung (business registration) and a recent statement of my fonds depot.

The first was accepted promtly, the later was rejected. They wanted a bank statement showing at least 12,500€ on the account. After it took me a few days to put the wanted amount into my account, I provided the statement. After that it took about another 1 and 1/2 weeks until the visa was finally approved.

DTV Approval - Canberra, Australia.

I am a New Zealand resident and passport holder but applied from Australia as we are travelling here atm (lucky timing considering the insane pricing at the NZ embassy).

I applied for the DTV for myself under the workation banner, with my husband and kids as dependents.

I submitted my application on August 27th and was asked for further information on August 30th.

The further info required was:

Other request documents: Remote Working Details Document (To clarify your remote working details)

Other request documents: Proof of Your Address in Australia

For the Remote Working Details Document, I put together a PDF showing how my business operates, all written in the third person and describing how it makes money and is run remotely.

I added screenshots of my business website and company registration from New Zealand.

For proof of address, I added the invoice for the place we were staying at the time from Booking dot com. Note that this was not my permanent place of abode.

My visa was granted on 11 September.

I then applied for my husband and kids on the 12th of September.

Again, they requested further docs (but only for one of my kids) on the 19th of September.

Other request documents: Proof of Your Visa Status/VEVO in Australia

I rang Home Affairs/Immigration to get a VEVO for my child but was informed that they don't do them for kids, so I submitted our original Qantas ticket showing entry for all of us into Australia, with a note on the pdf stating, "VEVO not available for child as per Home Affairs Australia, however, this flight confirmation shows our flight entering Australia - including (child name)."

Later that same day (19th September), my husband and eldest child were approved, and my youngest was approved on the 22nd.

I showed a screenshot of our managed fund in New Zealand for financials. I did not want to withdraw from the fund to show the funds in our bank account, but I would've if they insisted.

Luckily, they didn't. I used the same screenshot for all four of us.

I didn't have a flight booked, and they didn't ask, but I did book the flight I stated in the application, just not til after approval.

Hello again! Got my husband and daughter approved for their DTV’s as dependents via the Washington DC embassy.

Here is my original post for when I got approved:

[members only]/?

September 6 - submitted their applications

September 23rd - requested my marriage certificate, passports of both mother and father, and flight itinerary with all of our names on it.

I had already submitted our marriage certificate but I guess they missed it so I resubmitted.

I had already submitted my passport but I resubmitted with mine and my husbands.

I had already submitted the flight itinerary so I resubmitted.

Our situation was a little crazy. We are taking our dogs with us and our original flight was Tuesday, September 24th. Dogs got denied boarding (story for a different time), and so we had to rebook our flights to tonight, September 27th.

September 24th - my husbands visa got approved but we didn’t hear back about my daughters visa.

September 25th - request for more info for our daughter. They wanted an updated flight itinerary because they “can’t approve a visa for anyone currently in Thailand” because according to our original itinerary we were already there. I resubmitted our updated itinerary and wrote a kind cover letter explaining what happened and then something to the effect of, “My visa and my husbands visa have been approved already. I appreciate the expedited nature of this application for my daughter so she has no trouble entering with us.”

Hers was approved later that day.

I borrowed money from my mom to have the full $32k in my account for their applications as I wasn’t able to get a clear answer as to if each applicant needed their own 500,000 baht.

For all three of our applications, DC took from 12-16 business days to process.

On our way to the Houston airport to move! ✌️✌️

I got approved for my DTV Visa.

This was my experience...

- Applied on Thai E-Visa Website

- Application was handled through Thai Ottawa Embassy in Canada

- I am from Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean, currently living in Trinidad as well.

- Applied as a Business Owner... I'm a Digital Marketer with clients.

- Application fee was $650 Canadian

I supplied:

- Drivers License to show current location

- 1 contract from a client I am working with

- my business registration which had to be validated by a Notary public & validated at my Ministry of Foreign Affairs for international use of the document

- 1 bank statement from The previous month, showing I had the 500k Bhat equivalent.

The entire process took exactly 2 weeks ...1 week of that time was waiting for my document to be validated at the ministry of foreign affairs...and they emailed me the Visa.

The process was smooth with no hiccups.

Following my DTV approval last week from the Uk embassy London (took 3.5 days); I applied to a dependant DTV for my child, which arrived this morning. The dependant DTV took 36 hours to receive from the point of payment. Both cost £300 EACH and needed seperate applications. I submitted the same proof of funds for both my application and for the dependant visa. Process for both was very straight forward, the dependant visa needed a Birth Certificate but apart from this, both were almost identical. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
