I've submitted my DTV application on 29th OCT and got pending approval on 30th OCT. Now, it's been two weeks. I applied at Phenom Penh Thai Embassy Cambodia. Has anyone experienced how long it takes although it says 10 working days. I'm worried and waiting. šŸ™

Hi everyone, Iā€™m applying DTV as a content creator in Phnom Penh and I applied on 5th Nov.

I have sent them requested documents and have no got a reply yet. In your experience, how long do they usually take and is it also possible that they reject or take longer time even though they donā€™t send you any emails?

**DTV Visa Approved in Hanoi

**Our Thailand DTV's have been approved. As South Africans applying at the Hanoi Consulate, hereā€™s a timeline of our journey:

Main Applicant - South African

* Application Submitted: Wednesday, 16th October 2024, at 11 pm (just after landing in Vietnam, selecting the Hanoi Consulate), have my own business therefore selected Visa type "Workcation".

* Status Update: Application status changed from "Document Check" to "Pending Approval" on Thursday, 17th October, around 10 am.

* Approval Received: Monday, 21st October 2024, at 10 am.

Documents Submitted for Main Applicant

* Bank Statements: Approximately two monthsā€™ worth of statements from three separate accounts (savings account

holding required funds and my cheque account where my salary is paid into).

* Employment Documentation: Employment contract and supporting company documents to prove ownership of the business.

* Current Location Verification: Photo of the Vietnam visa as proof of presence in Vietnam.

* Identification: Biodata page of passport or travel document.

* Recent Photograph: Taken within the last six months.

Dependent Visa - South African

* Application Submitted: Monday, 21st October 2024, around 12 pm.

* Status Update: Documents reviewed, and status changed to "Pending Approval" by end of the day on 21st October.

* Approval Received: Tuesday, 29th October 2024, at 12:23 pm.

Documents Submitted for Dependent Visa - 2 separate applications for 2 children

* Bank Statements: Three months' worth from three different accounts (main applicant only).

* Current Location Verification: Photo of the Vietnam visa as proof of being present in Vietnam (for each dependent).

* Identification: Biodata page of passport or travel document (for each dependent).

* Recent Photograph: Taken within the last six months.

* Unabridged Birth Certificate: Includes both parent details, matching main applicantā€™s passport information.

* Main Applicantā€™s Approved Visa: Provided as proof of connection to the dependent.

*As a single parent traveling with my kids, it was interesting to note that no consent documents were required from their father.*

Additional Follow-Ups for Dependent Visa:

* Since dependent Visa approval seemed to take longer than mine, I made daily calls to the consulate from 24th October, during which I was advised that the processing time for a dependent visa is typically five business days.

* Messages Sent: Contacted the Hanoi Consulate via Facebook on Friday, 25th October, and received a reply confirming the five-day processing time for dependent visas. 23rd was a public holiday and was noted counted.

* Emails Sent: Attempted contact with thaiembassy.han@mfa.go.th (no response) and later to consular.han@mfa.go.th on 28th October.

* Consulate Response: Received an email from consular.han@mfa.go.th on 29th October at 8:49 am, they confirmed the main visa was approved. I responded promptly to request an update on the pending dependent visas.

* Final Approval: Dependent visas granted at 12:23 pm on 29th October.

Thank you to everyone in this group for the support, the information, responses queries etc. made all the difference!

Hello again! Got my husband and daughter approved for their DTVā€™s as dependents via the Washington DC embassy.

Here is my original post for when I got approved:

[members only]/?

September 6 - submitted their applications

September 23rd - requested my marriage certificate, passports of both mother and father, and flight itinerary with all of our names on it.

I had already submitted our marriage certificate but I guess they missed it so I resubmitted.

I had already submitted my passport but I resubmitted with mine and my husbands.

I had already submitted the flight itinerary so I resubmitted.

Our situation was a little crazy. We are taking our dogs with us and our original flight was Tuesday, September 24th. Dogs got denied boarding (story for a different time), and so we had to rebook our flights to tonight, September 27th.

September 24th - my husbands visa got approved but we didnā€™t hear back about my daughters visa.

September 25th - request for more info for our daughter. They wanted an updated flight itinerary because they ā€œcanā€™t approve a visa for anyone currently in Thailandā€ because according to our original itinerary we were already there. I resubmitted our updated itinerary and wrote a kind cover letter explaining what happened and then something to the effect of, ā€œMy visa and my husbands visa have been approved already. I appreciate the expedited nature of this application for my daughter so she has no trouble entering with us.ā€

Hers was approved later that day.

I borrowed money from my mom to have the full $32k in my account for their applications as I wasnā€™t able to get a clear answer as to if each applicant needed their own 500,000 baht.

For all three of our applications, DC took from 12-16 business days to process.

On our way to the Houston airport to move! āœŒļøāœŒļø

I got approved for my DTV Visa.

This was my experience...

- Applied on Thai E-Visa Website

- Application was handled through Thai Ottawa Embassy in Canada

- I am from Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean, currently living in Trinidad as well.

- Applied as a Business Owner... I'm a Digital Marketer with clients.

- Application fee was $650 Canadian

I supplied:

- Drivers License to show current location

- 1 contract from a client I am working with

- my business registration which had to be validated by a Notary public & validated at my Ministry of Foreign Affairs for international use of the document

- 1 bank statement from The previous month, showing I had the 500k Bhat equivalent.

The entire process took exactly 2 weeks ...1 week of that time was waiting for my document to be validated at the ministry of foreign affairs...and they emailed me the Visa.

The process was smooth with no hiccups.

Dates of intended next Thailand entry / exit (I put exit date as 90 days after entry). No flight proof was needed for this part.

1 small thai overstay in 2024 didn't cause issue.

I'm glad it was approved as I'm already up to 5 thai visa exempt entry stamps for 2024.
