i know of someone here in CR that went to immigration for their 90 day check in, 1 day late, and were fined 4000 baht. i am aware it wasnt a fly out of the country, but still. things are getting tighter, and why risk it? if you have to ask these questions such as'will this get me in trouble' then you should already know what your decision should be. but in the end it is up to you of course.
If you have the finances required for an extention, you can do so at your local immigration. You can get a 1 year extension based on supporting a thai spouse if you have the finances required
Yea, sometimes they take it some times they dont. They used to take it back in the day no problems, didn't even need to be pristine. But these days it is hit or miss with the officers.
- there are more reqs when getting it at immigration and some of which, some people cannot or do not have, therefore that's why some need to get it at an "easy" consulate such as savannakhet.
