Hi, I moved to Chiang Rai from another province, and my O-A retirement visa expires soon. I'm using the 65k monthly income method. I emailed the Chiang Rai Immigration to ask for a list of required documents. Based on their reply, I prepared my TM30, insurance, lease agreement, bank statement (printed online), and a copy of my passport. I brought everything to the Immigration office at Central Plaza Chiang Rai. However, the officer at the information desk looked over my documents and said they do not accept monthly income from my country😳 He gave me a yellow leaflet and explaining that they only accept monthly income from the UK, US, and Australia. I'm a Polish passport holder, and this is my second extension. What should I do? I would really appreciate any advice or help 🙏 Thank you!
What are the current rules on getting extra time in Thailand by doing a Laos/Myanmar border bounce ie used to just walk out of Thailand and walk back only took about 30-45 min to get processed BUT when getting my family visa in Chiang Rai (prior to that had my tourist visa and its extension) the immigration officer told me now need to stay out of Thailand for 2 nights before I can return.
Appreciated if someone could let me know the current amount of time I need to stay out - I preferred the in/out but if needed will book a hotel. All the best.

My Visa expires today. I've been trying to get to the Immigration in Chiang Rai for 3 days to get an Extension but it's just not possible with the flooding. We've been evacuated and safe but there is just no way to make it to the Immigration Office, every bridges is closed. What's my options here? Of course, I will be making my way to Immigration as soon as I can reach their office.
I am planning to apply for Non O retirement visa above 50 when I am in Chiang Rai. But I had just saw a post stating that Chiang Rai do not have this available! Is that true ? If it is , how would someone do the application? I will be planning to live in Chiang Rai.. would appreciate all help and especially those who are living in Chiang Rai..TIA
Posted a month ago about how immigration told me I could stack 30 day extension and 60 day family visit extension. There were some comments saying it was either or. Chiang Rai immigration today granted me the 60 day family extension while I am still on the 30 day after entering 30 day exempt. It's not quite the 120 days because for the 60 day they made it 60 from today rather than 60 from the end of the 30.
Applied for one-year extension based on Thai wife today in Chiang Rai at the new office inside of Central. Just wanted to share the requirements. 2x everything.

Hi all, i’m currently on the 30 day tourist visa exempt and i’m looking to extend it for another 30 days at either the Chiang Rai or Phayao immigration office. Would appreciate help with 3 questions:
1. Will the extension start from the day i apply or from the day my original 30 days end?
2. What documents beside my passport and passport size photos are necessary?
3. Is the tm30 form needed? And if so how do i get it? I’m staying with a local thai friend in their apartment.
