there's no amnesty and no you don't need an agent to help with the unable to travel due to covid extension

How can I stay in Thailand longer than 90 days as an Australian tourist after recent visa changes?

There's no visa amnesty nor STV anymore. If you want to enter as a tourist you have the visa exemption for 45 days (30 from next month) or applying for a tourist visa which is 60 days.

Both visas give one 30 day extension.
