TLDR : Answer Summary
To enter Thailand for the first time in November, you should check the current entry requirements as they may change frequently. Key considerations include ensuring your passport is valid for at least six months, obtaining a visa if necessary, being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and securing health insurance that covers COVID treatment. There are programs like the Phuket Sandbox and ASQ (Alternative State Quarantine) that may be available depending on vaccination status and the length of your stay. It's also advisable to monitor updates from your local Thai embassy and adhere to health protocols.

Jump over 30 very high hurdles, even though the Thais are the zombies now.

Wait until they revoke the quarantine sometime this year you’ll save tons of money and freedom.

Spoken to a number who have just arrived ..
Currently , you need to be staying for 3 months plus , you need to be vaccinated
We've had Sandbox ( Phuket ) and Hua Hin opens 1st October .
So depending where you are flying into ...but certainly come , it's all good and improving day by day ...
Unless you want to stay in Quarantine, Then restricted in travel to ghost towns thru out the country.
70% of shops, bars,
restaurants were for RENT. now for SALE.
Any smiles left are behind masks and unemployed.

I came to thailand in late July for 2 months , nothing open and lock down, I have spent £2000 to get here with flying and ASQ , in the time I have been here is £2000 by the time I fly home and now thailand in the red zone to the uk will cost be £2285 plus PRC , I would tell any body want to fly to Thailand, Just wait unless your have no choice, like having a family or work ,
why waste ur money? Uk is taking Thailand of the Red list this week.

I am flying to Qatar for 12 days in a 4 star hotel cost £950 with breakfast , then return back to uk I think i’ll save £500 when all done , but it better then sitting in a travel lodge
similar situation for me. The fact Thailand’s on the U.K. red list now also sucks since the U.K. quarantine price is just ridiculous. Anyone thinking of coming to Thailand for a holiday should wait till the rules are relaxed, probably around new year.

sounds good. No bars. But if you like the outdoors then plenty to do. Golf courses are also open. I also scuba dive so not being able to get South is an issue for me. But I have lived in Chiangmai off and on for 60 years. So I love it here and love the people.
I spend 4 months and coming back in 2, had the best trip I’ve had yet even considering the lockdown. If you’re only there to bar and party it might suck but any halfway decent trip around and you couldn’t time it better.

Things are in flux, but right now, and fundamentally you need to show you do not represent a risk to the country from a health and wealth perspective. That means being fully vaccinated and obtaining health insurance for your trip that specifically covers Covid treatment with a policy limit of US$100K. There are testing requirements that are self funded (about B8000) and a stay at an approved facility. We’ve returned last year to our home in the provinces through the more traditional quarantine paradigm (15 days in a hotel room) and will now be returning through the Phuket Sandbox program, giving us access to the island once our first negative test results come through. There are good YouTube videos on the Phuket program and lots of information from the Royal Thai Embassy in your home country. Best of luck to you.
by November there are plans to open up more destinations without quarantine if you are fully vaccinated. Continue research and check back October 1. The government makes changes each end of month.
The adoption of the “One SOP, One System” model for the re-opening of Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Hua Hin, Cha-am, and Bangkok from October 1 is being submitted to the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration next week and also includes a proposal to halve the costs of Covid-19 tests.
Go look on the Thai ambassade website from your country, there you find all info what you need and how to do

Check your local Thai Embassy website about 2-3 weeks before your departure. Things change daily here so what's required today might not be the case in 4-6 weeks time.

Passport not expiring within 6 months of landing and visa if not visa exempt
