1. To get the 60 days ”covid extension” would you need a non o visa or could you do it on visa exempt?
2. And also I know that it will only be available until 30th of september as of now, anyone knows WHEN they will decide if they will end it or extend the deadline?
TIA!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 60-day COVID extension can be obtained on any visa or extension, including visa-exempt entries. However, if you have not previously extended your visa-exempt stay, a regular 30-day extension may be needed. The current deadline for this extension is September 27, 2021, with uncertain announcements on its potential extension.

2) it ends on 27 September, not 30th. As to when, if, they announce it is being extended or not...anyone's guess! Last time they announced a week or so in advance, previous time they announced it on the afternoon of the day it was ending.
many offices will issue an “under consideration” stamp for anywhere between 5-15 days, after which you go back to the same office and they stamp in the remaining balance of 60 days.
