don't think I've come across that before I have to say, hopefully some others will have.
However, the under consideration part is normal in some of the immigration offices. I wouldn't worry about, I haven't read of anyone getting the under consideration stamp and then being denied the rest of the extension.
because everyone else who has been in your position has had to go back to the immigration office which currently has them under consideration. Enjoy your trip back to Pattaya, hopefully there will be a bit more life there when you go back!
They've been converting existing visas and extensions to non-B/extensions of stay for employment in country, including for those you previously went overseas for.
This is pretty much in the hands of your employer as they'll need to provide more information than if you applied overseas but it definitely is possible.
