Multi entry gotcha!

I recently renewed my retirement visa a month before it was due. I made the mistake of assuming that my previous visa stamp and multi entry was valid until the expiry date. No so, the new one replaces the existing stamp.

As I didn't have a new re entry stamp I was nearly denied entry as the previous multi entry stamp was invalidated with the new visa stamp.

Fortunately after some discussion with a senior officer they allowed me to enter.

Quick question - I entered Thailand last week on DTV. Can I drive (legally) in Bangkok with a valid IDP or do I need to apply for Thai Drivers licence?

As a newbie, can I get a straight about DTV for Thai language programs? When I googled it, and read the embassies page, it looks like a hard no. But the first few posts that I've seen here mention success stories with DTV for Thai language programs, so which is it?

Dear members, I've researched the topic but I would like to ask this group as well... Has anyone here applied for DTV for soft power while non-B was still valid?

I've been working legally in Thailand for two years, but my employment will end next month and naturally, my non-B will be cancelled. My plan is to apply for DTV for Muay Thai (I've been training for years) while my non-B is still valid, return to Thailand on my non-B after DTV gets approved (hopefully), and when the non-B gets cancelled next month, I'd leave Thailand again and return on DTV.

My income will come from investments in my home country and online work from outside the country. I will not work in Thailand - but I wish to avoid that officers will suspect otherwise. Has anybody else transitioned from non-B to DTV like this? I'd appreciate you to share your experience, tips & tricks...

Thank you for sharing!

Not sure if this has been asked before as I can’t find with search.

If my DTV is approved can I apply do motorbike lessons and get a Thai motorbike licence? I do not have a motorbike licence from my home country as I have never needed one at home.

Good morning. I have just arrived on a Non O-A visa and have done my first visit to immigration for the TM30. As my current medical insurance expires 31 Dec I was only stamped in until then, insurance will be renewed sometime in November. Will I still have to fly out and back in order to get another year stamp? How easy is it to change to Non O visa which saves the insurance requirement?

Just for clarity I’ve just waited three hours at chang wattana to be told that my first 90 day reporting should not be here it should be in Nonthaburi immigration

so not everybody comes to the main one in Bangkok and this is what everybody is actually saying that you should be coming here for your first time. So it’s determined by your Bangkok location.

I know the freezing of funds for visa related bank balance certificate at Bangkok bank has been done to death, but I was in my local Kabinburi branch and decided to see what they said, they told me pretty much what's already been shared, however, they then said it did not apply to my account because its older than 4 years. It will be probably different when I apply for it.

Currently on a non-b visa and am due in 4 weeks for 90 day report. Previously lived in bangkok and would do 90 day reports at chaengwattana.

6 weeks ago I moved to phang nga province and the place where I am staying submitted the tm30 at phang nga immigration. Does this mean I can now do my 90 day report at phang nga immigration or will I have to fly back to Bangkok to complete my 90 day report?

I have to do my visa run June 12 but it’s better for a number of reasons for me to leave back home to US on the 20th. That means I would overstay by 8 days. But doing a visa run on the 12gh just to leave on the 20th would suck would it be so bad to overstay? I reaaalllly don’t want to overstay
