Yes. And some DLT offices have stopped accepting yellow books for license renewals as well.

@Bill ********
you still need the 90 day non-O first. Agents can't help you if you don't have that anymore

@Pete ******
why would you need to do it in UK? You should be able to apply through the Thai embassy in SA.

Don't fly to Thailand then apply for a non-O visa. Apply for the non-O visa now from the Thai embassy, or you won't be able to open a bank account in Thailand.

In order to apply to convert to non-O visa in Thailand, you must already have a Thai bank account but you cannot open a bank account as a tourist. Therefore you need to get the visa before you travel.

Once you arrive you should be able to open a bank account with the non-O you get from the embassy. Then transfer the 800,000 baht to your bank account and you can apply for the 1-year extension after the money has been in your account for 2 full months.

You can ask them if it can be on the Friday so you can travel. The worst they can do is say no

yes even Laotians, Cambodians, Malaysians and Burmese have to do it.

There's already been huge issues because they didn't think to offer a translation option for any of those languages on the TDAC page.
Brandon ************
If you don't have a Thai passport, you're required to file a TDAC on EVERY entry into Thailand.
Brandon ************
Then you started applying on the wrong website. This is the official website and it's always free here.

Either one. Just make sure you get one for both of you.

@Tony *******
if you came in on marriage visa then you must extend based on marriage. The only difference is you'll get an "under consideration" stamp rather than the extension. But that stamp is considered part of your new extension and you still don't require any extra time to apply.
