Is there a bus go from Chiang Mai to Chiang Khong and return back to Chiang Mai the same day? I want to do boarder run to Laos

The green bus goes from chiang mai arcade.it takes about 5 and a half hours and they will drop you off at the junction for the border where there will be som tuk tuks waiting for you. Not sure about getting back the same day.

There is a bus. But if you don't have a visa you must spend 2 nights in Laos. Or else use an agent who will drive you to the border and get you back same day for a fee.
