TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend a 60-day tourist visa in Bangkok, you should go to the main immigration office at Chaeng Watthana if you applied for the visa in advance and received it through the Thai e-visa system. If you entered Thailand without a visa and received a 60-day visa exempt stamp, then you should visit IT Square in Laksi for your extension.
I don’t understand that people can think they are here on a visa when they get visa exempt!

Did you actually arrive with a tourist visa that you applied for and paid for from the Thai e-visa system before you traveled to Thailand? If so, then the 30 day extension is applied for at the main immigration office at Chaeng Watthana.
If you arrived without any visa and got the 60 day visa exempt stamp, then you go to IT Square Laksi.
This is why terminology is important to get the correct answer. It is not pedantic to correct people as others read the advice given to the original question asked.
