considering how much of a headache it is to get my gf a UK visitor visa they don't want thai people at all. They want mountains of evidence that she will return to Thailand. And unfortunately her little street food restaurant isn't enough apparently. She has no children or anything so she has no ties. It would be easier getting her there by rubber dinghy. So yes in that regard the UK can get f*cked.

if you could pay for the elite visa in monthly installments I'd be all over that lol but you can't.

It's not worth the rigmarole in my opinion.

My solution was to never open one in the first place.

has anyone stopped to think that OP may have a decent monthly income but doesn't have 400k baht just laying about? A lot of people here are out of touch.

Not everyone has 12 grand just laying about. But if you're on more than 40k baht per month you can use that as income proof.

"I'm a software developer". That's all the IO needed to hear. Not only did they lie, they basically said yah I'm gonna be working here without the correct visa. Dumbass.

If it's just one day for a reasonable explanation like you say then it shouldn't be an issue
