Because I wasn't sure if I was covered so didn't want to risk overstay etc.....was getting mixed answers. Was 1900 down the drain but never mind

Yes, o think so.....you can not extend a visa that does not exist

I think I will extend before my expiry date for 60 days then do a year extension in Jomtien, thanks all ✌️
