Am I eligible for the amnesty if my Non-O visa extension expires on July 3rd, and can I get an extension before applying for a 12-month visa?

Hi, I am on a Non-O based on marriage single-entry extension which expires Friday, 3rd of July.

Am I included in the amnesty until 31st of July?

If so a few days before can I get a 60 day extension before applying for another 12 months?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about their eligibility for the visa amnesty in Thailand as their Non-O extension expires on July 3rd. Community responses suggest that they may not be covered by the amnesty but recommend extending the visa now due to the potential rush at immigration offices as the deadline approaches. Several members share personal experiences, affirming that extending before the expiration date can be more efficient.

Yeah... I would go that route. It only took me about 30 minutes to extend my visa at CM immigration recently. And, I would be worried they would say "your visa expired, you have to start over" if you waited for the amnesty to be over.

I was in the same boat and was told we do not fall into the amnesty. I went ahead and extended. Was a breeze because no one is at immigration now. But that was in Ubon. Your local immigration office may say something different ๐Ÿ˜

You may find the immigration offices getting very busy in the days leading up to the end of the amnesty. This will obviously depend on any announcement regarding what will happen after the 31st July.
