Ok. So is there any point getting my name in It? Thought I could get a pink ID card which at the very least means no more waiting for a residency certificate when needed

Then I guess I am changing the blue book I have to a yellow book. And since the staff ask me why I want to do it and I don't need to I suspect it requires a few hours work so it must be important

Thanks

. I was told I just needed a one year Visa to get my name on my condo. I went for the Ed to ensure I improved my Thai. Told I can not use the Ed Visa to put my name on the property and now (after getting it over the retirement) that only Business or Retirement Visas qualify to name on blue book. So wondering if switching from Ed to Retirement was also possible

Just as a side note if BKK is just a transit point and you are flying AirAsia, you are taken to a private immigration point with no line or hassles

I fly to Chiang Mai because their immigration is quicker, but recently the transit fly through service for leaving and entering has been fantastic

Not sure that will help. The school wants verification it has been done. I might have to go in to immigration

So to add a little more confusion. If the condo does this online, what evidence do you get or have if there are problems further down the line?

Just got back from Penang with my Ed Visa 24th. They want all your docs. I did not have my Bank account details and showing the guy cash from my wallet (over 20k). Was not enuff. I asked to see his supervisor (I suspect the kid is new) and they accepted the application.

I am going to send an email to the consulor there and let him know the embassy is getting a bad reputation. And one to Penang tourism as they will go have a word with the embassy and apply some pressure

But go see Jim. Nothing but good reviews and I was going to but he was not open when I headed off to the embassy. He cost not much more than the taxi fare to go yourself and saves you a few hours standing in the heat

I am in Penang now. Don't forget a print out of proof you have some money to afford to stay. They are very picky here.

And it is now a 2 month tourist visa. Not 3 month
