Tip for Non-O Visa Holders Visiting Thai Family!

If you've used your 60-day extension, be cautious with land border runs. My husband was denied re-entry from Cambodia but flew back from Siem Reap to Bangkok and got his 60-day stamp easily. Consider flying for a hassle-free return! ✈️😊

Hi to everyone

Is there a limit on how many times a year I can enter Thailand by plane?

I had problems entering the country the last two times (December 2024 and February 2025). They said that I already had too many Thai stamps from different years in my passport. Am I violating the law here?

I fly to Taiwan on Friday and come back to Thailand 10 days later. Now I'm worried that there could be problems with immigration again. what is the legal situation?

I am traveling with a German passport. never had an overstay either. And always travel to Thailand with a return ticket.

There has been numerous media reports come out today stating big changes in visa entries to Thailand, including that visa exempt entries will get 60 days, and a reduction of the mandatory insurance requirement for OA and OX visas, as of June 1st

Not any official statements that I’ve seen so far but you can check out some details here - [members only]/

Now at this moment in time it’s press articles, so not guaranteed to change, but they state the cabinet have approved the measures. In 4 days we will find out.

Hi. Currently in thailand from the uk on a multi entry visa which gives me 9 months with extensions and visa runs. After this I want to stay but understand that if playing by the rules I have to leave. How long do I have to leave for before I can come back ?

Hi, asking for personal experiences of people that had a situation similar to this:

If you have been in thailand fo around six months, using visa runs. Do you know if doing the same next year gets you questioned in airport inmigration or they just care about the stamps on the same year?

Hello members,

I am well aware of the two land boarder maximum entry allowance per year.

We entered about two months ago from Malaysia and stayed for 5 days.

We plan to enter again in about a month to stay for a 45 days or more (exemption + eventually extension).

You think somebody will make troubles if I or we go in two weeks for a couple of days to check out an accomodation, then return to malaysia?

Still planing to go again in a month. All through land boarder. It would add up to the third entry in 2022.

Thanks for your advice.

Is that correct that you can do only 2 visa exempt entries in a calendar year? In the past I have done as many as 5 (Australian)
