Maybe wrong place, I apologise if so, but when you apply for a UK passport renewal from VFS Bangkok do they cut the corner as you apply, or after you receive the new one, I have visas for other country's that I need for work purposes in my current passport but I'm running very short on pages.
Could some fellow Aussies help me out. this may have been posted before but I just need your guidance if someone can help.
So I’ve been on ed visa for a year and living in Thailand.
Heading back to Australia on the weekend to apply for the DTV soft power.
Could you tell me what proof I need to show the embassy as I, don’t have a car licence, the only bill in my name is a phone bill. I’m just staying with a friend while I apply. Could I provide a statutory declaration of where I am ??
TDAC - OK so my reading of it is that from May 1st you must submit an online TDAC, this can be done no sooner than three days before arrival but can be done any time within 3 days of arrival, so you could literally get off the plane in Thailand and make your submission before you get to passport control / immigration. As long as you get your email confirmation of TDAC before you get in front of the IO you are good to go? Is that the correct interpretation of it? TIA
The TDAC is essentially a digital form that replaces the traditional TM6. It allows travellers to fill out and submit all necessary entry information before they even leave home.
The form is quick to complete (once you know what you need), and it includes:
Personal Details: Full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number.
Health Declaration: A few basic questions to support ongoing health and safety screening protocols.
You’ll need to complete the form within 72 hours of your scheduled arrival in Thailand. Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email or QR code, which must be shown—alongside your passport—when you land
