I also used the Canberra Embassy. I'm a freelancer and applied for a remote worker DTV.

It took about 4 weeks for me. I had to supply additional documentation. I emailed them after 4 weeks, got my approval later that day!

I've flown into Phuket once and BKK probably four times now on my DTV, no issues. Going to fly into DMK today so we shall see how that goes- but I also am leaving again on Tuesday so they might not kick up a fuss.

Anonymous participant I just submitted my birth certificate that has my parents name so it matched their names on the letter.

I applied through Sydney Australia, my parents deposited day of but they also wrote a declaration saying they would be financially responsible for me if anything happens. This was approved no questions.

Anonymous participant 797 yeah that's why I posted! Because while it's good to be aware, it can cause people unnecessary stress.

Okay so I got approved with a sponsorship letter signed by dad saying he takes financial responsibility for me if need be and that I have access to a "family trust".

My family transferred the AUD equivalent of the 500,000฿. I only had it in for a day. I also uploaded my birth certificate with my parents name on it to prove proof of relationship.

May have been overkill, but I got accepted for workcation.

I'm a freelancer too so what I wrote was a formal letter, on my own company letterhead and stated my situation. I made sure I had my business registration on the letter too.
