Can my parents transfer funds just before my DTV application for sponsorship?

Hi everyone, sorry for a question. my parents are willing to sponsor me for 500,000 baht to obtain a bank deposit certificate for my DTV application. Can they transfer the funds a few days before my application? Can I print out a current account bank deposit certificate and write a sponsorship letter to use for the DTV application?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The community discussion revolves around the requirements for a DTV visa application in Thailand when sponsored by parents. Key points include that while some consulates may accept a recent deposit of 500,000 THB for the application, others may require the amount to be in the account for 3-6 months. Participants suggest contacting the consulate directly for their specific policies on sponsorship letters and bank statements. Shared experiences highlight that rules may vary significantly depending on the application location, and alternatives like parental declarations are suggested to demonstrate financial support.

I think it will be much better to stay in your country, work hard and save money. Once you have the financial means to travel independently, then proudly start exploring the world. Given your current status, I think it is too soon for you to obtain a DTV when you rely on family for financial assistance.

I applied through Sydney Australia, my parents deposited day of but they also wrote a declaration saying they would be financially responsible for me if anything happens. This was approved no questions.

Fair play, I think it all depends on where you’re applying. I heard Laos wont ask for 3 months.

Wish you the best of luck, and hope it gets accepted.

You can email the consulate you plan to apply at if they accept sponsorship letter from your parents. In most cases, they dont, but ive seen one or two posts in this group that has been successful with it

Maybe it depends on where you apply. I applied in Tokyo and they just needed to see a certificate of my bank balance at the time, it didn't need to show 3 months before or anything like that. If you apply somewhere with the same rules at Tokyo, then perhaps you can ask your parents to put the money in your bank, get a certificate of bank balance and then pay the money back to your parents right after that. Good luck 👍

If needs to be for 3 months.

You need your parents to write a letter to guarantee that they will sponsor you.

They will need to provide bank statements with 500,000 THB in the account for

If applying in most Western world nations there is no or little seasoning requirements. You must somehow demonstrate financial stability. Don't know why you talk about a deposit certificate when what they want to see is the money in your bank or see your parents bank statement along with the sponsorship letter.

Depends on where you apply regarding the recent deposit of 500k. Some are ok with it , others require it be seasoned for 3-6 months. You applying for Softpower hence the parent sponsorship? Can be easier if they just "loan" you the money

Anonymous participant why not just say which embassy and you can get accurate advice
Andi ***********
Anonymous participant There is no minimum income requirement. You should first contact the embassy you are applying from regarding your parents' sponsorship to see if they accept it.
