Chonburi don't recognise the TM28. It's all done via a TM30. Can be extremely busy before and after holidays. Not so bad during low season.

Oh, and they know every trick in the book and want it there way of doing things.

What? You think it's easier to stay in the US long term than Thailand? Attempt to stay in the US anymore than 6 months as a tourist and see what the result is. That's if you manage to get a 6 month stamp to start with.

Thailand is easy to stay and has many options for being here long term. Staying here on the wrong visas and swapping passports is simply starting to be not tolerated any longer.

Everyone wants to cry how unfair it all is. Try and live in the UK or the US on tourist visas and see how unfair it is there too.

Ok. So apply for an extension. I guess youll apply on the basis of retirement? Then buy a reentry permit if you intend to leave and return.
Ron *******
If you get the extension on that visa before it runs out, then you would need a reentry permit to keep the extension alive. I guess your visa itself, actually runs out this month?
Ron *******
You have a multiple entry visa. That's why immigration said you don't need a reentry permit. 😊
Ron *******
Forget being stamped in until April if you leave again and don't return until after October when your visa is finished. Your reentry permit will only be issued until your visa finish date in October.
Ron *******
The easy way to understand it is that a reentry permit is only good for the validity of the visa or extension.

If your visa is valied until April 2019 and you left today with a reentry permit, provided you come back by the expiry date in April 2019, your ok.
